Madison Kurz, LCSW is a compassionate and down-to-earth therapist who believes in the power of authenticity, connection, and resilience in the healing process. With a strong foundation in trauma recovery, Madison specializes in working with individuals navigating the complexities of their past while building a more empowered and fulfilling future. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach to meet each client where they are with warmth and non-judgment.
Madison has extensive experience working with women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and neurodivergent clients, creating a space where all identities are valued and affirmed. In her work, Madison integrates trauma-informed care with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, helping clients regulate emotions, build self-trust, and reclaim their personal power.
Guided by the belief that therapy is not about striving for perfection but embracing growth, Madison brings a balance of bravery and humor into her sessions. She values genuine human connection and adapts her therapeutic interventions to each client’s unique needs, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and respected throughout the process.
Madison resonates with Dr. Francine Shapiro words: “The goal of EMDR is to help people live in the present, free from the shadows of the past.” She believes healing is about reclaiming one’s narrative, finding strength in vulnerability, and moving forward with self-compassion and courage.
Clients describe Madison as relatable, warm, and empowering. She believes therapy is a space where real, messy, and meaningful conversations lead to lasting change. When she’s not in the therapy room, Madison loves immersing herself in a good book and finds peace in hiking through Pennsylvania’s trails with her partner and their rescue puppy. Madison is passionate about creative expression, whether through crafting, painting, or training her puppy, and believes in the therapeutic power of creativity, nature, and connection.
