All of our internship students are supervised by a licensed and seasoned professional at Mindful Soul, and receive quality feedback to ensure a high standard of care. Many of these appointments are also available at a reduced session rate, making quality therapy more affordable and accessible to our community.

M.S.W CANDIDATE IN SOCIAL WORK – RUTGERS UNIVERSITY
Lauren is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work with a Certificate in Interpersonal Violence and Trauma at Rutgers University. With a lifelong passion for social justice, understanding, and supporting others, Lauren’s journey into the field of social work and mental healthcare was ignited during her undergraduate years, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Education from Rowan University. Lauren’s commitment to social justice and mental health advocacy has grown stronger over the years. With five years of direct experience working with adolescents and young adults, Lauren blends academic knowledge with real-world insight in her practice.
Lauren’s passion thrives when she collaborates with adolescents, teens, and young adults who are navigating transformative life experiences. These individuals often embody the qualities of high achievers, embarking on personal growth journeys, or they may be navigating complex family dynamics and striving to break free from generational cycles and traumas. Lauren truly appreciates their exceptional drive, unwavering determination, and strong work ethic while recognizing the unique challenges they may encounter, including self-imposed high expectations, perpetual pressure, and limited self-compassion. In her therapeutic approach, Lauren provides a nurturing space for clients to explore and navigate these challenges while empowering them with the necessary skills to find balance, well-being, and authenticity in their lives.
Within her practice, Lauren places significant emphasis on trust, effective communication, empathy, and collaboration as the cornerstones of a healthy therapeutic relationship. Her unwavering dedication to each individual’s growth and well-being is guided by the belief that true healing occurs through partnership, echoing the words of Brene Brown: ‘Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are’.

M.Phil CANDIDATE IN CLINICAL MENTAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING – UNIVERSITY of PENN.
Julie Young holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Mental Health Services and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Philosophy in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Julie’s journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Miami before venturing into the world of mental health. Julie’s dedication to well-being and holistic living is further emphasized by her status as a Registered 200-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher, allowing Julie to approach her work with a unique blend of holistic wellness practices and lived experience.
Julie is passionate about working with a diverse range of clients, including those striving to boost their self-worth, such as empaths, sensitive individuals, and those wrestling with anxiety and ADHD. She also finds fulfillment in supporting high-achievers and individuals navigating life’s transitions, whether they’re graduating high school, moving through college, or embracing motherhood. Her therapeutic approach is deeply introspective, encouraging clients to tap into their intuition and develop profound self-trust and acceptance.
Within the therapeutic space, Julie offers a nurturing, nonjudgmental atmosphere marked by unconditional positive regard. Her warm and empathetic style combines moments of humor and light-heartedness with deep emotional exploration. Julie excels in guiding girls and women towards anxiety reduction, improved emotional regulation, enhanced intuition, and bolstered self-esteem.
Julie’s commitment extends beyond the therapy room, as she actively advocates for social justice within the mental health and yoga communities. She finds tranquility by the ocean and in nature, often incorporating movement and self-expression through yoga into her own life’s journey.
M.S.ED CANDIDATE IN MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING – UNIVERSITY OF PENN
Sarah is a graduate student intern currently studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah received her bachelor’s degree from George Washington University, and holds a background in Public Health and Spanish. She has also earned a certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Sarah has a special interest in working with clients who are dealing with low motivation, depression, general anxiety, social isolation, social anxiety, life transitions, divorce, relationship problems (including romantic, social, and familial), sexual identity exploration, and those who have lost the ability to see a bright future for themselves. Sarah enjoys working with LGBTQIA+ community, kink community, and non-monogamous individuals.
Sarah utilizes a psychodynamic approach with techniques from CBT to facilitate her client’s exploration of their past to support a deeper, integrated understanding of themselves. Sarah values a judgment-free environment and holds a sex-positive space where therapy can be a safe container to talk about sex and sexuality.

Sarah’s mission is to inspire client’s to rediscover passion in their lives and to help them reintegrate into themselves. Sarah’s recognizes the innate capabilities we hold to be adaptable and resilient. In her words about her personal mental health journey: “I realized that what needed to change wasn’t society or other people in my life, it was me.” Sarah believes in bringing the joy, playfulness, and excitement that we truly crave back into our lives.
Sarah has lived in 6 different states and sees these experiences as contributing to being a very open-minded individual that enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures.
