Gentle Re-Parenting: The Co-regulated family

When: Sunday November 10th, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Where: Mindful Soul Center for Wellbeing – 207 White Horse Pike, Haddon Height, NJ 08035

Join Julia Ott for an educational workshop that helps parents develop emotionally regulated ways to engage with their children. Learn to assess and shift your own state of emotional regulation, utilize exercises to soothe the nervous system, and move from judgment to compassion.

  • Process feelings surrounding parenting and gain insight into their triggers related to their children’s behavior
  • Learn how the brain and nervous system work and learn strategies for how to shift into a regulated nervous system state in order to help their children regulate

Many parents struggle to see successful outcomes with positive and gentle parenting strategies. Often, our own nervous systems can get in the way of parenting in the way we most want to, leading to feelings of shame or failure. In this educational workshop, parents will learn how to assess and shift their own state of emotional regulation, utilize exercises to regulate the nervous system, and learn how to shift from judgment to compassion.

As parents, our focus is often on our children, but the best way to help your child with difficult emotions is through co-regulation, where both parent and child can soothe the nervous system and increase feelings of calm and safety. By working with your own internal experience, you can develop emotionally regulated ways to engage with your children.

Join Julia Ott to learn the powerful skills of self-regulation to help facilitate co-regulation within your family. This workshop  will be held on Sunday, November 10th, 2024 from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM in our Haddon Heights group room, located on the second floor of our office.

  • Cost: This is a one day workshop and is not billable by insurance. This workshop is $100 per person, with the 2nd parent registered for $75.
