Life can feel overwhelming when you’re constantly trying to hold everything together. Maybe you’re carrying the weight of other people’s expectations, questioning your next step, or wondering why you still feel stuck despite working so hard. If you’ve spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you’ve lost sight of yourself, you’re not alone and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself.

Lexus Rose, LPC, is passionate about helping teens, college students, and young adults who are navigating life’s transitions while quietly carrying anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, or self-doubt. Many of her clients identify as highly empathetic, high-achieving individuals who appear to have everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. She believes these struggles often develop for understandable reasons and that healing begins with replacing self-judgment with curiosity, compassion, and understanding.

Lexus earned two master’s degrees from Adler University in Chicago, including a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master of Arts in Forensic Mental Health Leadership. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Dubuque. As an EMDR-trained therapist, Lexus specializes in helping clients process difficult experiences that continue to shape their present lives. Her clinical interests include anxiety, trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, interpersonal challenges, and life transitions.

“Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.”

Brené Brown

Lexus believes therapy is about more than simply talking through problems. She helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, nervous system, and past experiences so they can move toward meaningful, lasting change. Drawing from EMDR and other evidence-based approaches, she supports clients in developing emotional regulation skills, increasing self-awareness, and building a stronger, more compassionate relationship with themselves.

As a biracial therapist, Lexus is especially passionate about creating an affirming and culturally responsive space for Black individuals and people of color. She recognizes the importance of feeling seen, understood, and safe enough to bring your whole self into the therapy room.

At the heart of Lexus’s work is the belief that therapy is a partnership. She often compares the therapeutic relationship to taking a road trip together: the client remains in the driver’s seat while the therapist helps navigate, offering perspective, guidance, and support along the way. Through trust, honesty, and consistency, Lexus strives to create a space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, heal from the past, and move confidently toward the life they want to build.

Outside of the therapy room, Lexus recently relocated from Chicago and enjoys exploring South Jersey’s restaurants and local experiences. When she’s not trying a new spot, you’ll likely find her at Pilates, spending time with family and friends, or getting lost in a great book.
