Ben Mosher is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both New Jersey and Massachusetts and a National Board Certified Counselor. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ursinus College and his Master’s in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. Since becoming licensed in 2017, Ben has gained extensive experience across a variety of clinical and coaching settings, including youth residential treatment, executive function coaching for young adults and parents, and private practice therapy.

Ben works best with young adults and adults who feel burned out, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps in life. He often supports clients who struggle with focus and motivation, as well as those seeking deeper purpose and direction. He understands how easy it can feel to give up before even starting, to fear making the wrong choice, or to believe the deck is stacked against you. At the same time, Ben recognizes that these very individuals are often deeply empathetic, resourceful, and creative – and capable of remarkable growth when given the right support.

In therapy, Ben helps clients develop a stronger sense of self, learn to sit with difficult emotions, gain distance from overwhelming thoughts, and take meaningful, values-driven action toward the lives they want to live. He believes that the foundation of healing lies in creating a warm, trusting, and collaborative environment where clients feel safe to bring their full selves (challenges and all) into the room.

Ben frequently works with clients navigating depression, grief and loss, trauma recovery, social anxiety, and relational or interpersonal challenges. He brings Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into his work, along with skills-focused approaches from his background as an executive function coach. He encourages clients to engage in the therapeutic process both inside and outside of sessions, giving them tools they can carry into their daily lives.

Clients describe Ben as warm, steady, and thoughtful, with an ability to help them feel seen while also motivating them to take small, actionable steps toward growth.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” – Carl Rogers

Outside of his counseling work, Ben enjoys camping in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, reading comics, and relaxing with his wife year-round.
