Molly is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of New Jersey, working under supervision towards her clinical license. She earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and completed her masters degree at Fordham University. Molly comes from a background working with populations across the lifespan, and specializes in supporting kids, teens and young adults .

Molly comes to Mindful Soul with clinical experience in areas such as eating disorders/body image, trauma, and the challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community. She enjoys working with individuals who are struggling with identity, perfectionism, and those who may taken on a caregiver role. Molly appreciates that many of her client’s life experiences have taught them that they “have” to be in a particular role in order to survive, be accepted, feel safe, or valued. The pressure of maintaining an identity which is not authentic to who you are can be incredibly taxing and disconnecting, but often the idea of leaving that role can feel even scarier.

In session, Molly guides her clients towards exploring and processing the pivotal experiences in which their roles were created. When we are able to view our life experiences through a clearer lens, we are more able to grasp the impact of past learning on present day experiences. This is a deeply significant step towards making real change and breaking free from the roles that many of us have felt chained to. Molly cherishes the gift of witnessing her clients unlearn their past “self” and embrace who they really are.

Molly believes seeking therapy is a major life decision that can come with a lot of anxiousness, ambivalence, and fear. Taking the steps to care for one’s self is difficult. Molly’s goal as a therapist is to provide a comfortable environment in which clients from all walks of life can feel secure in being their authentic selves. No matter the circumstance, Molly works through a holistic strength-based approach for each of her clients, taking into consideration the impact of past, present, personal, and societal influences. She sees each individual as a whole person who has overcome adversity in some way and utilized their strengths to seek out the support they need.

Molly appreciates that no mental health journey is linear and embraces the imperfections along the way. She often draws on impactful elements from various therapeutic approaches to meet clients where they are and in consideration of their unique needs. In her approach to counseling, Molly incorporates therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Strength-Based Therapy.

Molly was born and raised in northern NJ, but currently resides in the Philadelphia area with her long-term partner. Outside of the office, you’ll likely find her taking pictures of her cat, listening to favorite albums on repeat, deep-diving into astrology, watching Adventure Time, or preparing a hearty brunch.

“I want to remind you that if you lose yourself, it is never too late to find yourself again. And when you stumble upon the person that you used to be, they will be so happy to see you” – Halsey
