“A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life.”
― Christopher Germer
Most of us have heard some version of the saying ‘you are your own worst critic.’ But what if we afforded ourselves the same level of respect, kindness, and acceptance that we extend to others? The reality is, there is no relationship more important than the one we build with ourselves — it colors the lens with which we view the world, informs how we navigate and overcome struggles, and greatly determines emotional and mental wellbeing.
Based on the works of the leading researchers in the field of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), in this 8 Week Online Series, we will be exploring:
- The fundamental elements of Mindful Self-Compassion
- Examining the relationship we have built with ourselves
- Deconstructing self-judgment and harsh inner critics
- Practices that build inner strength and self-acceptance
