Kids face a lot of stress today. They juggle busy schedules, the stress to perform well, social pressure, bullying, and don’t forget about electronics and social media! An inability to manage stress positively can result in A LOT of problems including anxiety, trouble sleeping, depression, anger, impulsivity, poor attention, physical complaints (upset stomachs, headaches), and poor self esteem to name a few. Teaching kids how to practice mindfulness is one of the MOST AMAZING LIFE SKILLS we can give them!!

MORE ABOUT MINDFULNESS
Practicing mindfulness helps us increase our own level of self-awareness, build our capacity for managing our emotions, stress reactions, and behaviors. It helps us be more grounded, calm, and centered adults so we can educate and raise resilient, happy, and compassionate kids!

What does the research say?
Research shows that mindfulness actually changes the way the brain responds to stress, helping kids increase self-awareness, be more compassionate, manage their emotions, focus, and even learn better If you’d like to learn a bit more about the neuroscience, check out the video below of Dr. Dan Siegel, renowned neuropsychiatrist and author of some pretty awesome parenting books including The New York Times bestseller The Whole-Brain Child: 12 Revolutionary Strategies to Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind
