Your middle school years are a time for growth, independence, and developing your own interests, thoughts, and stronger relationships with your friends. With social pressures, technology, and trying to be your own person, middle school can be a time that is filled with new, challenging, and stressful experiences.
From spending all night figuring out the “perfect” outfit to wear to school to having a very hurtful conflict over text message with your “best friend”, middle school can be a time when you do not know who can really help you feel happy, courageous, and confident.
Building more confident and courageous girls
Through participation in this workshop, Middle School girls will build self-esteem, communication skills, and conflict resolution skills. Participants will create journals to use to express their feelings and experiences beyond the group. Group members will have the opportunity for meaningful interactions with peers and guidance from a caring professional toward becoming more confident and courageous!
