Haddon Heights Office
EMDR Certified Therapist
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Trained Therapist, Level 1
Sarah is a New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) providing counseling for adults and adolescents at Mindful Soul Center for Wellbeing. She earned her Master’s degree in School and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah has completed training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
In her work with clients, Sarah believes in both creating a strong foundation in the present and guiding her clients towards healing more deeply rooted patterns of struggle, focusing on finding that elusive middle path; the magical place where we can both accept ‘what is’ while moving towards growth.
Sarah specializes in working with adults who have experienced adverse childhood experiences, attachment wounds, complex trauma, and those who seek deeper meaning in their lives. She has a particular passion in providing counseling to those who identify as empathic or highly sensitive, as well as other healers, therapists, and helping professionals of all ages.
An empath herself, Sarah is naturally attuned to those around her and easily relates with other empaths, healers, helping professionals, and Highly Sensitive People. In her work with these clients, she often supports developing a deeper understanding of the client’s authentic self, and supporting their uniqueness. Many HSPs and empaths find themselves drained from the relationships in their lives and may struggle to find ways to better understand and support themselves. Sarah’s warmth creates a space that is open and secure so that these clients can recover, repair, re-energize, and heal from the relationships in their lives that have not served them.
“We are always in a perpetual state of being created and creating ourselves.”
-Daniel J. Siegel, M.D.
An artist at heart and in practice, Sarah has experience in fine arts, therapeutic crafting, creative writing, as well as songwriting and performing. She believes strongly in the powerful role creative endeavors play in healing, processing our inner worlds, coping with difficult experiences, and developing enriching self-care practices. Sarah is a humanist at her foundation, meaning she believes that we are all here to find our own path to our highest potential. Through her own seeking and creative spirit, Sarah has found wonderful ways of connecting with clients, holding space for their self-exploration, growth, and personal development.
Outside of the office, Sarah’s self-care practices include re-reading the Harry Potter Series, exploring evolutionary astrology, writing songs and poetry, and spending time with cherished friends and family.
*Please be advised that at this time, Sarah is not accepting new clients as her schedule is currently full. Here at Mindful Soul, our therapists take pride in their work and would not like to spread themselves too thin and want to ensure the best level of care is offered to all clients.
