There are certain changes in a woman’s life that can rock her to her core- the birth of a child, the loss of a loved one, the ending of a relationship, an empty nest. These are times when we might feel alone, disconnected, misunderstood, or confused. Jennifer walks beside women during difficult transitions and supports the deeply unique and personal challenges that come along with it.
Jennifer is especially committed to partnering with women who are going through divorce, so that they do not have to go through it alone. Divorce can be emotionally devastating, and feel like a personal failure. Jen helps women grieve the loss of the marriage, re-discover their self worth and feel good about themselves again. She is an ongoing presenter in Second Saturday, a national educational workshop empowering women with information about the divorce process. Committed to helping women navigate this major life transition, Jen also facilitates Untying The Knot, an 8-week support group for women who are going through divorce.
In addition to her divorce work, Jennifer also has a special place in her heart for women who are struggling with the loss of a parent. Having experienced the death of her own mother many years ago, she understands that the loss of a mom can be particularly painful to experience.
Jen helps women heal their relationship with themselves. Once we are at peace with ourselves and our own human- ness, this trickles into our relationships with our loved ones. She also teaches women the amazing practice of mindful self-compassion, coaching them on shifting away from the inner critic and towards acceptance of oneself. This is a practice that has helped Jennifer immensely in her own personal life and can significantly reduce feelings of anxiety and low self-worth.
Jennifer is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and utilizes this powerful tool to help heal old wounds that are standing in the way of our contentment with ourselves and with life.
Always looking for creative ways of self expression, Jen’s latest passion is Art Journaling. Stay tuned for upcoming Art Journaling workshops with Jennifer at Mindful Soul and the local community! Jennifer finds that women are yearning to connect with other women, and themselves, through creative self expression.
Jennifer’s therapy style is full of warmth and compassion. She considers it a privilege to be invited into her client’s inner worlds and works to create a true partnership.
Jen lives in South Jersey with her husband, son, and 2 cats. On the weekends, they are usually looking for adventures together, including farmers markets, arcades, and bike rides. An introvert at heart, Jennifer loves to read and hang out with her cats on rainy days.
