Brittany is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in the state of New Jersey. She earned her Master’s degree in Professional Clinical Counseling from LaSalle University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kean University. She has additional training in perinatal mental health, substance abuse counseling, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Brittany has experience working with clients in various stages of life, with most of her focus being with adult populations, especially with Maternal Mental Health clients. Her clinical background includes treating perinatal mood disorders, substance abuse patients as well as working with pathologies including depression, anxiety, trauma and more. Brittany has also provided group counseling, family counseling and individual therapy in a variety of settings. She runs a 6-week group called Mindful Self-Compassion for Moms, which explores techniques to increase mindfulness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance, qualities that often prove to be challenging in motherhood.
Brittany is currently working towards earning her certificate for treating mothers with Perinatal Mental Health issues after developing a strong passion for helping mothers to recover, adjust and adapt to a new aspect of their identity. Often mothers struggle to balance their autonomous self when transitioning into their new role. With societal pressures to be “the perfect mom,” it can feel scary, unnatural and unrealistic for some, leaving residual feelings of fear, shame, self-doubts, isolation, anger, anxiety and more. Brittany ensures a safe environment to explore what may be uncomfortable to talk about with others. She believes that clients already have the answers within themselves, they just need help organizing their thoughts and making connections. Brittany works to help women process their emotions in a healthy way, while feeling safe and secure.
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style.” –Maya Angelou

Through the comfort and safety of the therapeutic relationship, Brittany will work collaboratively with clients to identify goals and expectations for treatment. Accessing inner strengths and internal motivation to be the best possible version of one’s self during challenging changes and life stage transitions, Brittany understands the importance of tailoring treatment to best meet the unique needs of individuals.
