Haddon Heights Office
Stephanie is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University and has been working with adults as well as children, adolescents and their families since 2010. Stephanie identifies on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and is passionate about working with this population. She has a particular interest in working with individuals struggling with anxiety and/or trauma symptoms, as well as those who are socioeconomically diverse, neurodiverse, the BIPOC community, and the immigrant community. Stephanie also affirms ethical non-monogamy and other non-normative sexual lifestyles and gender identity-based subcultures.
Stephanie takes a multi-disciplinary approach to her therapeutic work. Her practices incorporate techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, meditation, and trauma-informed interventions. Stephanie has received training in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and is pursuing EMDR certification.
Stephanie feels drawn to working with clients who struggle with patterns of overthinking, perfectionism, and low self-esteem. These struggles can often lead to overwhelming emotions, panic attacks, and difficulty expressing and understanding one’s needs. Through the use of both her clinical skills and her caring nature, Stephanie empowers her clients to nurture and develop their own sense of self-compassion and self-acceptance.
Stephanie describes her therapeutic style as compassionate, nurturing, and authentic and she loves using humor, metaphors, and visuals to help individuals apply therapeutic concepts to their lives in a way that makes sense to them. Using a strength-based approach, Stephanie tailors her counseling services to her clients’ specific and individual needs, guiding her clients towards increased inner peace and understanding both the physical and emotional aspects of their experiences. She also incorporates some approaches from Internal Family Systems therapy and the Polyvagal Theory when appropriate and applicable.
Stephanie’s personal passions include animals (especially her cat, Finnegan and dog, Charlotte), reading, distance running, trivia, live music, and watching Netflix shows (especially Stranger Things and Heartstopper!).
