Jennifer Mills, M.S.Ed
Youth & Family Educator
Jennifer is a National Certified Counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Jennifer earned a Master’s of Arts Degree in Educational Counseling from Rowan University. Currently, Jennifer is working towards becoming a Licensed Associate Counselor at Rowan University.
Jennifer currently works as a school counselor in an elementary school and joins the Mindful Soul team as a Youth & Family Educator, offering groups, workshops, and classes for children and their families. Caring, patient, and thoughtful, Jennifer has counseling experience in a school setting with children that have anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty with emotional regulation, maintaining friendships, and children of divorce and blended families. By meeting children in their world, Jennifer fosters a positive and supportive learning environment and draws upon play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practices.
In order to effectively reach children, Jennifer works collaboratively with parents and families. Jennifer has facilitated parent workshops that create a safe and supportive environment conducive for gaining awareness on effective strategies for better understanding children’s big emotions, creative ways to communicate with children, and setting healthy boundaries.
Jennifer is passionate about supporting young girls, tweens, and teens with navigating through the many exciting and sometimes challenging moments of childhood and adolescence years. Every young girl has the potential to feel confident and happy about themselves, maintain healthy relationships, and build their resilience.
